Flexible Configuration, High Cost Performance for Coating Metering
The Floteck GP Series gear metering pumps are engineered for 1K / 2K coating spray applications. Standard features include ±2% metering accuracy, fully quenched stainless steel construction with ADLC coating, integrated bypass and shaft flush functions within a single manifold block, and three displacement options: 1.5 cc/r, 3 cc/r and 6 cc/r.
▲ Floteck GP Series gear metering pump: fully quenched stainless steel body with full part ADLC coating
The GP Series is a positive displacement gear metering pump. Fluid output volume is directly determined by the gear displacement per revolution. A fixed volume of coating is delivered for each servo shaft revolution, independent of fluid viscosity.
Metering accuracy: ±2% (test conditions: 30-80 rpm, differential pressure ≤2 bar). Post spray touch ups to compensate for inconsistent film thickness after color change cycles are no longer required.
φ10 keyed drive shaft for direct servo motor coupling. Operating speed range: 10-200 rpm; dynamic response: 50 ms, well matched to robot cycle times.
Pigments and fillers contained in primer and topcoat coatings are inherently abrasive media. Abrasive wear on conventional hardened steel components is the primary cause of reduced pump service life.
The GP Series comes factory equipped with fully quenched stainless steel wetted components and full part ADLC coating. High surface hardness resists abrasive wear, while a low coefficient of friction yields normal operating torque of only 1-2 N·m. The dense surface finish facilitates easy flushing and minimizes residual coating during color change cycles. No premium upgrade is required to achieve extended service life.
Total color change time equals fill time plus flush time. Many competing pumps optimize only one of these two aspects. The GP Series consolidates both functions inside one manifold block:
· Bypass function: Creates an internal short circuit flow path during pump startup for rapid priming of the pump and process piping.
· Shaft flush function: Directly injects solvent into the shaft seal zone to clear hard to reach residual coating from gears and shaft assemblies.
Three hardware configurations share identical pump body and interface dimensions, enabling future upgrades without mechanical redesign.
